It began as a "Yes mom, we'll just dip a toe in", to a complete barefoot immersion and what Mags referred to as "Like a spa!" Oh well, Earth Day and all that. #barefootbabes #getoutsideandplay #cheapthrills
Happy Earth Day! I ordered Lily and I some bracelets from @4ocean. 1 lb of plastic removed from our oceans/coastlines for each bracelet sold! @earthdaynetwork @endoceanplasticpollution #endplasticpollutioncampaign #canopyproject #earthday2018
Couple of things I purchased from store at #winterwheat. This man makes feeders and other bird things from antique items and stuff. So I sprang for one of his tea cup feeders with a spoon perch as well as a birdbath made from an antique light fixture. I love handmade things; though pricier, well worth it and I never regret when I buy them. #repurposedbirdfeeder #repurposedbirdbath #birdhouseguy #handmade
On the top floor of the store at Winter Wheat you will find a plethora of original birdhouses built by a man using wood from old barn ruins and other repurposed items. I chatted with him a bit and he loves what he does. Very cool. #winterwheat #birdhouses #repurposed #reducereuserecycle #birdhouseguy #becreative #beresourceful #handmade
Another visit to this place happened while back for a visit in London. I love it here, it is MAGICAL. All of the creative pieces placed around the property, made from old parts.❤❤❤ #winterwheat #repurposed #lowwaste #creative #reducereuserecycle
One of my little guys really digs the fiddly bits, especially KEYS. I grabbed some old ones from my junk drawer at home and attached to the fence with a carabiner clip. Took him a good 15 mins to puzzle it out. I also tied some old rulers to fence for 'measuring tool exploration'? Why not? Zip tie it up! Don't under-estimate how simple it can be to keep children busy. And how resourceful we can all be. #sustainabilitymatters #repurposed #creatology #outsideplayspace #rolemodels #rethinkwaste #childcare #childcarelife #letthechildrenplay
